REST IN PEACE DEAR FRIEND

Friends, I received the following this morning from Barry Garber.

One of our former shipmates has passed away. Robert "Bob " Christian passed away on the 27 of November. Those of you that have served with him, knew how great a person he was. Those that met him at reunions, came to know him as well. He served his country for 30 years, and his family continues to do so today. The world will be a little less friendly, without Bob. Please let Gay know how much he will be missed by all, and that our prayers are with her, at this time, for her loss.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I want to take this time to tell you a few things that I am Thankful for.

First I am thankful for my family. I have been lucky in my life to have 3 men that have helped my mom raise me and teach me things in life. One is my Dad(Charles "Harry" Harrison) who adopted me and gave me his name. The other raised me in my teen years, and the other one has been one of my spiritual leaders.

Then there is the most important one in my family is my Mom. She is my best friend. She is always there when I need her.

I am thankful for my "Cat" family. I feel lucky that my dad told me some stories that jelp me appreciate those who served to keep us free.

That brings me to the next thing I am thankful that I live in country that I am free to do what I want within reason and say what I want to say.

So, happy Thanksgiving Cat family be safe!!!!!

THE BLOG

You know I was looking at the pictures and when I noticed the empty table for missing shipmates and it makes me smile. It is because I could see my dad there. It was a great thing!
